Import from a spreadsheet
Move your existing job search into IterJobs — export a spreadsheet as CSV with the expected columns and import it.
If you’ve been tracking applications in a spreadsheet, you can bring the whole history across in a couple of minutes.
From a spreadsheet
- Export your spreadsheet as CSV with the columns below.
- In the web app, open Import and drop the file in.
- Review the preview, then confirm.
The required columns are marked below:
| Column | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|
Id | No | Generated on import if missing |
Company | Yes | 1–200 characters |
Role | Yes | 1–200 characters |
Status | Yes | One of the pipeline statuses, e.g. Applied |
Source | Yes | e.g. ColdApply, LinkedIn, Referral |
DateApplied | Yes | 2026-03-14 (or with a time) |
SalaryMin, SalaryMax | No | Numbers |
Notes | No | Up to 10,000 characters |
Url | No | |
ContactName, ContactEmail | No | |
CreatedAt, UpdatedAt | No | Backfilled if missing |
JobDescription | No | Up to 20,000 characters |
What happens to bad rows
The preview shows every row, with problem rows highlighted and the reason next to them. Fix the file and import again, or import the valid rows and leave the rest. Rows that duplicate an application you already have (same company, role and date) are skipped.
Limits
A single import can hold up to 5,000 rows and 5 MB. On the Free plan, an import fills your remaining quota (20 applications) and tells you how many rows were skipped for the limit.
